DoubleTree by Hilton Seychelles made a generous contribution to the Red Cross Society of Seychelles (RCSS) last Friday in support of the Appeal for Madagascar.
The brief ceremony was held at the RCSS Headquarters, with staff from the RCSS as well as representatives from the Hotel present.
The donation, valued at around SCR 2100 consisting of non-perishable items such as canned beans, tuna, noodles, and more were collected over the course of a month by 64 team members at the hotel following the appeal’s launch in early February 2025.
During the handover, Mrs. Doreen De Letourdie – Hotel Manager of Double Tree by Hilton Seychelles, expressed her hope that the donation would positively impact those affected in Madagascar.
In response, Ms. Marie-May Esparon – Secretary General of the RCSS thanked the team for their efforts and generosity, confident that the items collected would help make a meaningful difference to those in need.
Further, she also expressed her interest in establishing a formal partnership between the Red Cross Society of Seychelles and DoubleTree by Hilton Seychelles, with the goal of seeing potential initiatives such as blood donation drives and first aid programs materializing in the near future.
