Staff of the Red Cross Society of Seychelles took a trip to Baie Lazare today to meet with Mr. Jean Marc Hoareau; the gentleman who saved a Russian visitor from drowning last Sunday afternoon.
According to Jean-Marc he was spending time with his two kids when a friend called him to assist in urgency.
The SG of the RCSS presented Jean-Marc with a t-shirt with the logo ‘I saved a life’, custom printed especially for him, and a First Aid Kit.
On behalf of the RCSS, the SG expressed our gratefulness for this heroic humanitarian act, adding that ” we at RCSS believe in saving lives and for this act of bravery on your part, we just had to show our appreciation personally.”
“The act of saving lives is not foreign to me. This is one of numerous people I have saved from drowning here and it gives me great happiness, to know that someone’s life has been saved. Especially when i consider that people have families who would not wish to lose them so tragically.” said Jean Marc upon accepting the token from RCSS.
RCSS is happy to have met Jean Marc and we look forward to many more good deeds together.
