The RCSS receives Ford Ranger vehicle from Oceanic Motors

The Red Cross Society of Seychelles (RCSS) was officially handed over the keys to a Ford Ranger Pickup from the Oceanic Motors (Proprietary) Limited in a handover ceremony at the Oceanic Motors Showroom on Friday 08th February 2025.

The vehicle which costs around SCR950,000 has been donated to the National Society following the company deciding to make its first ever corporate social responsibility donation as one of the ways to share its successes over recent years.

Upon accepting the keys to the vehicle, Secretary General of the RCSS, Ms. Marie-May Esparon stated that “Over the years we have seen a big improvement in contributions from various partners and local businesses, and this is a very important day for us”. She added that the donation is a dream come true, which shows that a lot of people acknowledge and appreciate what the RCSS is doing and will keep doing. She added that this is the first step at strengthening the relationship between Oceanic Motors and the RCSS.

Together, both organizations are working to formalize ties through a memorandum of understanding (MoU), through which the company can benefit from training and capacity-building opportunities.

The pick-up, customized with RCSS logo will be instrumental in the RCSS’ day-to-day operations, including distribution of food items to different communities as well as assist in the efforts to mobilize aid during emergency situations.

Once more, the RCSS wishes to convey our gratitude to Oceanic Motors (Proprietary) Limited for making the addition to our fleet possible.
