Last Friday, the Seychelles Business Studies Academy (SBSA) hosted a Valentine’s Day baking sale on campus with the participation of staff from the Red Cross Society of Seychelles (RCSS). Given the national efforts for the Appeal of Madagascar that launched earlier this month, such a gesture was organized to raise funds through an assortment of goods that was on sale, including cupcakes, juice, and brownies.
Speaking to the School’s Director, Mrs. Josianne Bristol, she stated that the SBSA often organizes various kinds of events throughout the year to help raise money towards various causes and purposes. This year, they decided it was a clear and straightforward decision to host an event for the Appeal for Madagascar.
The RCSS’s Program Coordinator, Mr. Jean-Yves Joseph, commended the school and everyone who had joined in for the cause, stating that the effort is of real importance and that it will surely contribute towards helping the people in need in Madagascar.
All earnings raised during the sale of goods will be handed over to the RCSS in a small ceremony at a later date.
