The Red Cross Society of Seychelles (RCSS) shows support for the men volleyball team; Premium Spikers

The Red Cross Society of Seychelles has also shown its support and encouragement for the male volleyball team Premium Spikers ahead of their departure for the 28th African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB) Zone 7 Volleyball Club Championships taking place in Madagascar.

During a presentation on Thursday afternoon at the RCSS headquarters, Ricky Vel, the captain of the team, received donations of hygiene kits which included essentials for their stay, first aid kits with replenishments, as well as small towels.

The Premium Spikers team currently has six (6) active volunteers at the RCSS, which is the driving force behind this donation. Jones Mangroo, Ian Furneau, Hank Panagary, Wilbert Payet, Gerry Lozaique, Ricky Vel, and Dilan Bastienne are the volunteers. Amongst the handful of volunteers who came to assist after the blast at which occurred in Providence, all six (6) of the named volunteers also mobilized to offer their assistance by making deliveries of donations and picking up donations all throughout Mahe.

The RCSS Secretary General states that in alongside the volunteering and contribution of donations, the RCSS intends to work with the Premium Spikers to explore opportunities to promote awareness of ethical and responsible sportsmanship in the Seychelles.

In attendance as well at the handing over were other team members as well as other RCSS staff.

The RCSS wishes its volunteers and the Premium Spikers team along with the ARSU Ladies, City Ladies and Premium Cobra Ladies best of luck in the African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB) Zone 7 Volleyball Club Championships.
