The RCSS is also on a daily basis in contact with its partners, the International Federation of Red Cross Red Crescent Societies, IFRC, and the Plateforme D’Intervention Regionale de L’Ocean Indien, PIROI, providing updates, reports to ensure technical and financial assistance. This is vital in keeping our NS going; most of our fundings comes from these international partners; the Seychelles Government also provides some financial assistance. And in these trying times, the RCSS is among one of the first parties to be called upon to provide its expertise, and technical support.

The RCSS has also advised its volunteers to increase social distancing; a term applied to certain actions that are taken by Public Health officials to stop or slow down the spread of a highly contagious disease, in this case COVID-19. Therefore the donation from Cable and Wireless (Seychelles), Ltd, will help in maintaining constant contact with RCSS volunteers to provide updates, reports, and conduct online trainings available for volunteers.
