As the nation prepares for the presidential and parliamentary elections from 25th to 27th September 2025, the Red Cross Society of Seychelles (RCSS) has received a welcome boost from ISPC, a long-standing supporter of community initiatives.
This morning, in a brief but warm ceremony at the RCSS headquarters in Providence, ISPC
handed over a donation consisting of San Pellegrino Italian Sparkling drinks and frozen goods to assist the National Society during the three-day electoral process.
The contribution, symbolic yet practical, is meant to ensure that Red Cross volunteers and staff, who will be deployed across the country to provide humanitarian support, are well looked after during what is expected to be a demanding period.
Mr. Greg de Ryck, ISPC’s Brand & Sales Manager, highlighted the company’s commitment to standing alongside organizations that play a vital role in national life.
“At ISPC, we believe in supporting organizations that safeguard and uplift our community. In this crucial time for Seychelles, we are proud to stand by the Red Cross in their important mission by offering San Pellegrino Italian Sparkling drinks and frozen goods for Election Day.
It is our way of ensuring that those who dedicate themselves to serving others are also cared for,” he said.
The donation was officially presented by Mr. Dilan Bastienne, Heineken’s Assistant Manager and also a committed RCSS volunteer, to Ms. Regina Prosper, the Disaster Manager of the Red Cross Society of Seychelles.
Expressing gratitude on behalf of the Society, Ms. Prosper stressed the significance of such support in enabling volunteers to remain focused on their tasks.
“Our teams will be stationed across different districts throughout the electoral period, ready to provide humanitarian assistance, including first aid and emergency response. This generous gesture from ISPC not only provides much-needed supplies but also motivates our volunteers, reminding them that their service is
appreciated,” she said.
Also present at the ceremony was Ms. Marie-May Esparon, the Secretary General of the Red Cross Society of Seychelles. She praised ISPC for its solidarity and goodwill.
“The Red Cross is built on the principle of service to humanity. Partnerships such as this one with ISPCs how the private sector can make a meaningful contribution to national efforts. Their support helps us strengthen our capacity to respond, while maintaining the standards and neutrality that the public expects of us,” she noted.
The Red Cross Society of Seychelles is mobilizing more than 50 volunteers and staff for the elections, ensuring a visible and impartial presence throughout the three days of voting. Their role is to provide humanitarian support, emergency assistance where needed, and to uphold the fundamental principles of neutrality, independence, and impartiality during the electoral process.
With election day drawing near, ISPC’s contribution not only strengthens RCSS’s operational readiness but also underscores the value of community partnerships in moments of national importance.
