The RCSS was in attendance at the State House last Tuesday, January 9th, 2024, for the President of the Republic, Mr. Wavel Ramkalawan’ s first Press Conference of 2024.
The focus of the press conference was to give the public an update on the decisions and actions that were undertaken in the wake of the events that took place on December 6th and 7th, 2023. The head of state also made use of the opportunity to respond to enquiries from the local press.
In his address the President of the Republic commended the RCSS for the ongoing work and initiatives in helping individuals who have been affected.
Members of the media, CEOs, representatives of government agencies, and members of the ministry were all present at the press conference.
The Secretary General, Ms. Marie-May Esparon, the Program Coordinator, Mr. Jean-Yves Joseph, and the Coordinator of Communication and Resource Mobilization, Ms. Bettina Azemia, represented the RCSS.
