Contracts with two new consultants for the SEYCCAT Project are signed

The Red Cross Society of Seychelles is pleased to inform the public that it has recently signed contracts with two consultants for the ongoing Seychelles Conservation and Climate Adaptation Trust (SeyCCAT) Project on Early Action Protocols.

  • Consultancy One (Legal and Policy Framework Analysis) will be done by DIVINA SABINO.
  • Consultancy Two (Gap Analysis, Needs Assessment and Community Surveys) will be done by ERNA VICTOR.

Ms. Divina Sabino                            Ms. Erna Victor

Titled “Supporting Climate Change Adaptation in the Seychelles through Anticipatory Action & Last-Mile Community Early Warning Systems” the RCSS received the two million Seychelles Rupee (SCR 2,000,000) grant earlier this year to support the establishment of Early Action Protocols (EAP) and Anticipatory Action & Last-Mile Community Early Warning Systems for Climate Change Adaptation in the Seychelles.

One of the first activities of the project is the employment of two consultants: one to work on the gap analysis, needs assessment and community surveys and the other, to work on legal and policy framework analysis. Finding the different gaps, needs, and regulatory and legal challenges is one of the anticipated outcomes in order to begin drafting the Early Action Protocols.

In light of this, the RCSS is requesting the full participation and cooperation of its partners and the general public when reached out by the consultants. The request will be for information and documents relating to the data collection required for their consultancies, which will all be used for the project.

Thanking you all for your kind cooperation,

The consultants with representatives from the RCSS and SeyCCAT
