Visit to see the situation at the landfill where a fire has been raging since yesterday morning. Delegation comprised of the Chief Fire Officer of the Seychelles Fire and Rescue Services Agency, Tally Domingue, the Deputy, Jones Madeleine, the Red Cross Society of Seychelles Secretary General, Marie-May Esparon and staff of the National Society. We were updated on the situation and what will be the next step for today. The RCSS is on standby with the Ministry of Health since yesterday. Up to now three cases have been recorded. The National Society will remain on site until the situation improves, should be by end of today.
