

Tuesday 19th August 2025 – The Red Cross Society of Seychelles (RCSS) is providing its support to the Nomination Day 2025, taking place today, August 19, 2025.
As part of our commitment to safeguarding public health and safety, as an auxiliary to the authorities, the RCSS has deployed a dedicated team comprising of one ambulance driver and two trained first-aiders. The Electoral Commission of Seychelles has formally requested the RCSS to provide these services, recognizing the organization’s critical role in safeguarding public health and safety during national events.
Positioned at the scene, our volunteers are fully prepared to provide immediate assistance to anyone in need, ensuring the well-being of all participants during this important national event.
This standby operation reflects the RCSS’s enduring mission to serve humanity with neutrality, impartiality, and professionalism.
The RCSS will also be providing support during the main election day on the 27th of September 2025, with over 80 volunteers deployed across 26 polling stations on Mahé, Praslin, and La Digue. This includes ambulance standby services to guarantee a quick and timely response to any medical emergencies.
Guided by the Red Cross Fundamental Principles of humanity, neutrality, impartiality, and independence, the RCSS continues to serve as a trusted humanitarian partner, ensuring that every citizen can participate in the electoral process with an added layer of safety and care.
